Gastroscopy & Colonscopy allow a visual inspection of the Upper & Lower Gastro-Intestinal tract (GI & Colon), including the esophagus, stomach, first part of small intestine and large intestine.

The use of Gastroscopy is to investigate gastrointestinal bleeding, unexplained weight loss, abdominal pain, difficulty or painful swallowing, reflux, heartburn and tumors. It is to diagnose stomach ulcers or cancers. Sometimes, it can be used to treat GI bleeding, removal of growths tissues or foreign objects.

The use of Colonscopy is to screen for any abnormality in large intestine such as polyps and bleeding, or possible carcinogenesis at the initial stage. It is beneficial for patient aged 45 years old and over, patient with family history of colorectal cancer, and having suspicious signs and symptoms of colorectal cancer.
